Hungary's Transmission Network Prepared to Receive Russian Gas

Russian news agency Itar-Tass reported on January 13th 2009 that Gazprom had resumed gas transmission to Europe at 8am, Central European Time.

 

Russian gas is expected to reach Hungary in 36 hours, at the very earliest.
The Natural Gas Transmission Company (FGSZ) said that Hungary has sufficient gas supplies to satisfy January 13th expected domestic demand of 63m-65m cubic metres.
 A so-called 1st grade restriction, switching off the largest industrial consumers, using more than 2,500 cubic metres per hour, will remain in force on January 13th.
