Twelve-month consumer price inflation slowed to 3.1 pct in January from 3.5 pct in December 2008 and 4.2 pct in November of last year, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said on February 13.
Consumer prices rose 0.6 pct in January from December.
Analysts put January CPI at 3.3 pct.
Seasonally adjusted monthly core inflation rose 0.1 pct in January after increasing 0.2 pct in December, and increased 3.4 pct yr/yr, down from 3.8 pct in December.
