Gross wages increased 4.6 pct in the twelve months to December and rose 7.5 pct in 2008 from 2007, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said on February 20.
Net wages rose 4.6 pct yr/yr in December and were up 6.8 pct in January-December 2008.
Real wages rose 1.1 pct yr/yr in December alone, and were up 0.7 pct last year, as twelve-month inflation was 3.5 pct in December and inflation averaged 6.1 pct in 2008.
