The Trade Balance Showed a Surplus of HUF 147 Billion in July

In July 2009, according to first estimates, exports amounted to HUF 1,388 billion (EUR 5,064 million), while the value of imports reached HUF 1,242 billion (EUR 4,516 million).

The Euro value of exports fell by 18 pct and that of imports fell by 32 pct over the equivalent month of the preceding year. In July, the trade balance showed a surplus of HUF 147 billion (EUR 548 million), the balance improved by HUF 250 billion (EUR 972 million) compared to the same month of 2008. The share of the European Union Member States was 78 pct in exports and 70 pct in imports.
