Up to December 2009, final decisions on funding were made in the case of more than 330 school renewal projects in seven development regions, under the National School Renewal Program.
Work has already begun in the case of 215 projects, out of which 30 projects have already been completed. Funding amounting to approximately HUF 105 billion has been made available up to 2011 within the framework of the New Hungary Development Plan (NHDP) National School Renewal Program, enabling the implementation of 365 projects. This ensures the opportunity to renew numerous outdated, run-down kindergarten and school buildings and set up quality educational institutions. The most significant kindergarten and school renewal program of the past 50 years is being implemented within the framework of NHDP. The kindergartens in Ércs and Ravazd were upgraded and the Primary School in Ércs was extended and renewed with the help of funding amounting to over HUF 330 million.
