Magyar Telekom: Strong Cash Flow Despite Continued Top Line Pressure

Revenues were down by 7.1 pct to HUF 297.8 billion in the first six months of 2010 compared with the same period in 2009.

This was mainly due to lower fixed and mobile voice revenues in all three countries, together with a decline in Hungarian data revenues.  EBITDA declined by 8.8 pct to HUF 119.5 billion, with an EBITDA margin of 40.1 pct. Profit attributable to owners of the parent company (net income) decreased by 27.5 pct from HUF 44.7 billion to HUF 32.4 billion. Net cash generated from operating activities increased from HUF 89.0 billion to HUF 92.4 billion.
